LODGING SITES

Just some of my favorite sites. Let me know if you have one. I'll check it out and add it here.

Use to book stays in homes. I tend to look for quirky places like tiny homes, cabins, cottages that are separate from a main house.

Use to book hotels, many will have a free cancellation period.

A hostel is a form of low-cost, short-term shared sociable lodging where guests can rent a bed, usually a bunk bed in a dormitory, with shared use of a lounge and sometimes a kitchen. Rooms can be mixed or single-sex and have private or shared bathrooms. Some are now offering double beds for couples who don't need much privacy.

Good rewards program. Many rooms with free cancellation policies.

If you're traveling in Europe for a week or more, Eurail passes are the best way to go. Single country, multiple country, weeklong, monthly passes available.

Easy to use site for bus tickets in Europe.

CLOTHES AND GEAR

I've purchased suitcases and organizational gear from them. They are in most airports, so fun to browse. Once I emptied my old suitcases into a new one here, right in the store, and they disposed of my old case for me!

While North Face and Patagonia make great gear, I'm on a retired educator budget, so Columbia fits the bill.

I might be the poster woman for this company. Outlet stores and seasonal sales fit my pricepoint. Lightweight, durable clothes.

Travel gear. Click here for the backpack I purchased here. They have ones fitted for women. Lots of goodies like packing cubes at Eagle Creek.

Clothes, gear, organizers. Love their slipper, click here

LEWIS N CLARK

Good accessory gear like anti-theft credit card sleeves.  I shop here while at the airport or in big box stores like Walmart.

Get lost shopping for a handbag here! Be ready to think about pockets, pockets, pockets. I found one with a water bottle pocket on the outside, love it!
